Girya Count
Privacy Policy
Last updated 17 September 2026. Girya Count is a kettlebell sport training log for iPhone and iPad. It has no account, no server of its own and no tracking.
Girya Count collects no personal data. Nothing you enter is transmitted to the developer or to any third party.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you create in Girya Count is written to the app's private storage on your device:
- Training sets: event, bell weight, set length, the timestamp of every counted lift, hand used, rest, effort rating and your notes.
- Form-check photos you attach to a set, saved as image files inside the app's own container.
- Your weekly plan and the reminder times you choose.
- Bookmarked articles, saved programs, favourite drills and starred sets.
- Preferences: sound, haptics, appearance, units, countdown length, reader text size, and the athlete profile you enter during onboarding (division, bodyweight, main event, working bell).
This data stays on the device. It is included in your normal encrypted iCloud or computer backup, because iOS backs up app containers. It is deleted when you delete the app, or immediately when you use Settings → Reset all data inside the app.
Camera
The camera is used only when you tap Camera to take a form-check photo of your lockout, rack or backswing. The photo is saved into the app's private storage and attached to the set you were viewing. It is never uploaded. You can delete any photo from the app at any time.
Photo library
The photo library is opened only when you tap Library and pick an image in the system photo picker. Only the image you select is copied into the app. Girya Count never browses, indexes or reads your library on its own.
Notifications
Girya Count schedules notifications locally on the device: training-day reminders, the rest timer, an optional Sunday recap and an optional nudge after four days without a set. There is no push server and no device token. Permission is requested only when you switch one of these on, and you can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings.
Network
The app works fully offline. The only case where the internet is used is when you tap one of the three reference links inside the technique articles (Wikipedia pages). The app asks you first and then hands the address to your browser, which is governed by that browser's own privacy policy.
Third parties
Girya Count contains no third-party SDKs, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no social login. It uses only Apple frameworks that run on the device. Its App Privacy manifest declares NSPrivacyTracking = false, no tracking domains and no collected data types; the only required-reason API it declares is UserDefaults (Apple reason code CA92.1) for storing your preferences.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, regardless of age.
Health information
Girya Count does not connect to Apple Health and does not read or write any health record. Bodyweight and training entries you type in are stored only as described above. The app offers general coaching information about kettlebell lifting; it is not medical advice.
Your rights
Because no data ever leaves your device, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on your behalf. You are in full control: delete individual sets or photos in the Journal, or erase everything with Settings → Reset all data.
Changes
If a future version of the app changes how data is handled, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
